We are extremely proud to host the first flagship database, GrapeKIT (grapekit.mygeninformatics.com), from Prof. Peter Nick group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. This is the first database we have hosted on our server - but the story goes a long way back, where we did the DNA-sequnencing, read mapping on to the reference, variant identification and annotation, made the visualization platform using Python and MongoDB in the backend - with fine-grained customization about how they exactly wanted this database to be - in terms of look, accessibility and functionality.
We have almost 300 varieties of grape accessions in this database, where we developed tools available to mine the data about SNPs, InDels, Phenotypes, Pseudogenomes, Genome browser, Phylogenetics and bulk data download through DataPot - all in one place!
This is testament to our end-to-end services from sequencing and data analysis till data management and even hosting!
